Using self hypnosis for weight loss requires a commitment of your time. It's not really a lot of time at all, but it is certainly a level of commitment that requires consistent effort to get results. And since you are putting out the effort you more than likely will want to make sure that you do the required work in the correct way. So that you can count on the results you want. In other words, you want to make sure that it works.
Here is a sequence of steps that will show you how to do self hypnosis for weight loss correctly. You first want to train yourself how to go into trance well. Entering into a good level of trance will make your time in self hypnosis that much more valuable. Hypnosis is just a word for a state of mind where you suspend judgement. You want to put off critical thought so that the new information that you are looking to put into your mind will be allowed some time to be accepted without rejection. You in essence, open yourself up to new ideas, thoughts and behaviors. When this information is allowed into your inner mind, you can link these thoughts with your feelings.
The following instructions will show you a simple way of putting yourself into self hypnosis for the weight loss state. Find a comfortable place to sit that is free of distractions. Turn off your phone and any timers, or anything you think might be a distraction for you during the period of time that you will be practicing your self hypnosis. Close your eyes and focus on relaxing the little muscles around the eyes. Once you've relaxed the muscles around the eyes, you can use that as an example of relaxation and copy that relaxation to all the other muscles throughout your body. Repeat this process 3 times starting with the relaxation around the eyes and spreading out to your whole body.
Once relaxed you can use your imagination to see, hear, or feel yourself performing a specific weight loss producing behavior. Make this image as vivid as you can. Make it as real as possible by adding in the sounds you might hear, or the smells or sensations you might feel. The more senses you are able to incorporate into your imagination the more real it becomes. You are looking to make these new behaviors into familiar behaviors, using your imagination and your mental practice.
Once you have a good image of you as a healthy and fit person, you can step fully into that image so that you can see what you see, hear what you hear, and feel what you feel. Notice all the pleasant and good feelings that are generated by you as you feel what it is like as a healthy and fit person. Notice that powerful sense of accomplishment you have now associated with you as you reach your goal weight.
Each time you enter into your self hypnosis for weight loss state, you will use your imagination to sense yourself in your healthy and fit persona. Take the image that your mind gives you and increase it each time. Increase it so that it feels more intensely pleasurable.
